the company's policy :

Faced with market developments, and particularly an increasing demand for air conditioning services, Neu Systèmes Ferroviaires has set up an energetic investment and development policy.

In 1995, the SNCF appointed Neu Systèmes Ferroviaires to develop new prototypes for air conditioning of driverís cabs. This project :

- demonstrated the feasibility of retrofits for several hundred driverís cabs,

- resulted in obtaining SNCF approval.

SNCF's confidence in the investigation capabilities of NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires, is shared by all its customers. It is based on the means used by NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires.


The company policy has always been firmly attached to a design and research approach. Every year, NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires invests :
- 500 h of training in state of the art techniques, for its engineers and technicians,

- and 1200 h of development work done by engineers in the design office.

the full size mockup

The full size mockup, is an essential and specific instrument for development and balancing of aeraulic networks. It simulates the inside of a railway car. The technician uses a trial and error method to define the ideal balancing, which is directly reusable for series production of the car.




the climatic test station

Due to its spirit of innovation and quality, in 1997 NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires acquired an additional very high performance investigation and validation tool, namely the climatic test station. It simulates real weather conditions, and is used to develop and validate heating and cooling equipment.




the production tests station

Obviously, the production tests station is used for individual validation of all manufactured equipment before its shipment.




the manufacturing and assembly line

Neu Systèmes Ferroviaires provides a global service by integrating its manufacturing and assembly line close to the Marcq-en-Baroeul investigation and test center. Due to its structure, Neu Systèmes Ferroviaires réalise une prestation globale. Par sa structure, NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires is capable of managing orders for 5 to 700 air treatment units with the same technical and economic relevance, and has everything it needs to seize opportunities coming up in the third millennium.




innovations :

All these efforts have been rewarded by the development of major innovations :
    overpressure damper
    the double flow, hot and cold fan
    progress in acoustics
    diffusion profiles
    hardware and software maintenance assistance tools
    equipment control tools (power modulation, regulation)



growth :

NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires has sound potential for growth, as demonstrated by its recent developments.

In 1996, NEU Systèmes Ferroviaires employed 16 persons and its sales were F 20 million, and by 1997 these figures increased to 20 persons and F 25 million; it is forecasting sales of more than F 40 million for 1998 and its workforce will increase to about 30 persons.
